Flin Flon firefighters had a quiet November, city council learned last week. Council reviewed the fire chief’s latest monthly report: Nov. 4, 1:35 AM: A call from 911 stated there was a fire at a business off of Highway 10.

Council reviewed the fire chief’s latest monthly report:
Nov. 4, 1:35 AM: A call from 911 stated there was a fire at a business off of Highway 10. Firefighters arrived only to determine that the fire was in fact at Schist Lake. The fire chief did not respond as per council directive to remain within Flin Flon limits. The fire chief and 17 firefighters responded.
Nov. 5, 9 AM: A call from 911 stated that the ambulance attendants required assistance with a patient. Firefighters provided the help needed. The fire chief and six firefighters responded.
Nov. 10, 5:59 PM: A call from 911 stated that a shed was on fire behind a Green St. home. Firefighters arrived to find a small, smouldering fire inside a wall of the shed. The burning portions were removed and the fire extinguished. The cause was from a wood stove. The on-call officer and 14 firefighters responded.
Nov. 20, 7:20 PM: A call from 911 stated that ambulance attendants needed assistance. Firefighters assisted with a patient. The on-call officer and 13 firefighters responded.
