Three calls made for a quiet month for Flin Flon firefighters in September, city council learned Tuesday. Council reviewed the September fire chief's report, which detailed the incidents: Sept. 5, 7:40 PM: A call was received stating the alarms were ringing inside a residence on Fifth Avenue. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the cause was from burnt food. The fire chief and 19 firefighters responded. Sept. 6, 7:10 PM: A call was received stating the alarms were ringing inside a residence located on Fifth Avenue. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the cause was from burnt food. The fire chief and nine firefighters responded. Sept. 10, 5:05 PM: A call was received stating the alarms had been activated inside at 2 Hemlock Drive. Upon arrival, firefighters determined that a plumber set the alarm off accidentally while changing a hot-water tank. The fire chief and 14 firefighters responded.
