A dozen young women will vie for the crown at the 2004 Queen Mermaid pageant, the largest number of contestants in years. Organizers have finalized the list of contestants for the pageant, which will conclude on July 4 when current Queen Mermaid Brittany Brown crowns her successor. Since The Reminder featured an article on the pageant last week, four new contestants have stepped forward. The 12 contestants are: Shaleen Baribeau; Denee Church; Roma Currell; Keri Krieger; Camille Limoges; Dusty Markham; Steph Menzies; Kira Misfeldt; Natasha Moar; Michelle Pettersen; Kayla Reeves; and Kelsey Watt.
