Thousands of Canadians are expected to join marches tomorrow to speak out against the policies of U.S. President George W. Bush, who will be visiting Ottawa. With passionate feelings over a host of perceived wrongdoings, such as the Iraq war and the proposed defense shield in space, protests could be fierce. A group calling itself Lawyers Against the War (LAW) is even asking that Canada arrest Bush when he lands and charge him with war crimes. "LAW believes that George Bush must be brought to justice rather than be treated as a guest in Canada," the organization's Amy Bartholomew told the Canadian Press. Local activist Greg East is leading a peace march tomorrow to coincide with the presidential visit. The public is welcome to attend. The march will begin at 12:15 p.m. on the steps of Flin Flon City Hall. East asks that any signs people bring not be offensive.
