Students will head back to class on September 8 under the Flin Flon School Division's proposed 2004-05 calendar. Here is a summary of the calendar outline, which is scheduled to be be voted on at tomorrow's school board meeting: Teachers would return to school on Tuesday, September 7, with students to come back the following day. Friday, December 17 would be the final teaching day before the Christmas break. Classes would resume on Monday, January 3. Thursday, March 24 would the the last teaching day before spring break with classes starting up again on Monday, April 4. Thursday, June 30, would be the final teaching day of the school year before summer break. School would be out the afternoon of Thursday, October 21, and all of Friday, October 22 so staff could attend the SAG inservice. In other school news, MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) is scheduled to give a presentation at Hapnot Collegiate this Thursday. The presentation will be for all grade 7-12 students within the Flin Flon School Division. MADD is a non-profit, grassroots organization that is committed to stopping impaired driving and supporting the victims of the crime.4/26/2004
