Jonathon Naylor Editor A string of break-ins continued over the weekend, but Flin Flon RCMP now have suspects. Overnight Saturday, June 4, one or more culprits broke a window to gain access to the Community Youth Resource Centre. Once inside, they smashed a computer screen. Police have a suspect in that incident as well as recent break-ins at three other downtown area establishments. Charges Sgt. Nolan Suss said some charges have been laid and others are pending against several youth believed to be involved. He said more details will be released as the police investigation continues. The week of late April and early May saw culprits break into the Youth Centre as well as the Co-op, 49 Main Street and Super K Convenience. At Super K, they forced their way in through the rear of the building, swiping tobacco products and an undisclosed amount of cash. At the Co-op, smashed windows provided an entryway. Once inside, they accessed not only the grocery store, but also the handful of businesses in the lower level of the building. That meant shattering more windows. RCMP said cash and products were stolen, but they did not release specifics. During the same night, thieves also forced their way into the top storey of 49 Main Street through a rear door. They entered all three businesses and organizations inside: Revive Massage Therapy, K and D Wellness Spa and the Schizophrenia Society. They made off with cash, but again police did not say how much. The first break-in at the Youth Resource Centre involved two smashed windows and the theft of a laptop computer and some smaller, undisclosed items.
