Here is a brief look at Paul Ballentyne, the Denare Beach Village Council candidate whose profile could not be featured yesterday. Reason for running: "Basically, it's about listening to the people, voicing their concerns and bringing a balanced representation to the council table in regards to business, the retired people and the aboriginal sector." Top priorities if elected: "Building partnerships and bringing balance. I want to strengthen relationships between the communities, organizations and the neighbours of Denare Beach, because Denare Beach relies on Creighton and Flin Flon. You have to have people working with people, especially here in the north." Paul Ballentyne, a senior programs coordinator with Northlands College, has lived in Denare Beach for the past two years. Denare Beach voters will head to the polls tomorrow to fill one vacancy on their council.
