Creighton Community School principal Jane Dupre often encourages her students to further their education. Now she is taking her own advice by enrolling in the Masters of Educational Administration program at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon. As such, the Creighton School Board recently approved a sabbatical for Dupre, who will be absent from her duties from Sept. 1, 2013 to Jan. 31, 2014. During that time, vice-principal Stacy Lair will serve as acting principal. Trustees wished Dupre the best in completing her MasterĂ¢??s. In other Creighton school news, this Friday will see a group of students participate in a fundraiser known as the We Day Walk for Water. They will be walking from Denare Beach to the Rotary Wheel in Flin Flon to help ensure that people around the world have clean drinking water. Each student who participates will raise a minimum of $100 toward this goal.
