Even employees at the heart of the municipal government weren't exempted from a fire drill as part of Fire Prevention Week. Assistant Director of Works and Operations Rick Bacon sounded the alarm at Flin Flon City Hall yesterday afternoon before quickly rushing outside to time his coworkers' evacuation. Fire drills have also taken place this week at the local schools to help students be better prepared in the event of a real blaze. Members of the Flin Flon Fire Department have also visited the schools for presentations to the students. A focus of these talks has been one simple point: if your residence catches fire, get out as quickly and safely as possible.
