The Saskatchewan government is touting its new budget as good news for the province’s First Nations and Métis people.
The budget provides $210.5 million in program funding targeted primarily for First Nations and Métis organizations and individuals.
“A strong Saskatchewan economy needs the engagement of First Nations and Métis people if it is to grow even more,” Government Relations Minister Jim Reiter said in a news release, adding that the province has “been able to stay on track by investing in education and employment opportunities for First Nations and Métis people.”
