Police are searching for two people who have gone missing from Thompson — one last week and the other a dozen years ago.

RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating Amy Bone, 33, who was last heard from on Wednesday, May 20 around 9:15 pm at the Thompson Greyhound station.

Bone was travelling from Gillam to Winnipeg. After getting off the bus in Thompson for a break around 6 pm, she was not allowed back on after returning to the bus depot around 9:30 pm.

The reason she was not allowed back on the bus is that she was with an unknown person and they both were intoxicated.

Bone was wearing a brown winter jacket, a blue Warrior brand sweater and grey pants with black slip-on shoes. She was carrying a green purse and an iPhone 6 with a purple OtterBox case.

Bone is an Aboriginal woman who stands 5 ft 4 in tall and weighs 135 lbs. As of press time her luggage was still at the Thompson bus station.

Fresh look

Meanwhile, police are taking a fresh look at the disappearance of Dwayne Ross.

Ross was 18 when he went last seen walking down a path in the woods with his cousin in Thompson on October 1, 2003.

At the time he was reported missing, Ross was 5 ft 8 in tall and weighed about 175 lbs. He is an Aboriginal man with brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Amy Bone or Dwayne Ross is asked to contact their local police detachment or Manitoba Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Callers to Crime Stoppers remain anonymous and may become eligible for a cash reward.
