Police have declared a sudden death in Pelican Narrows suspicious.
Pelican Narrows RCMP were called to the reserve’s health centre shortly after 8 pm last Saturday, July 9 after an unresponsive adult male was rushed to the clinic.
Attempts at resuscitation were unsuccessful and the man was declared deceased shortly thereafter, police said.
An autopsy was tentatively scheduled in Saskatoon for either Thursday or Friday.
The Office of the Chief Coroner, Major Crimes Unit South and members of the Prince Albert and Saskatoon general investigation sections were assisting Pelican Narrows RCMP with the investigation.
As the investigation was in the preliminary stages, there was no additional information that could be released Monday, RCMP said.
