The spray paint-wielding vandals who struck three buildings and a van over the weekend are the subject of an RCMP investigation. On Friday night, Aug. 27, police report that yellow graffiti was painted on the CFAR radio station, a building at the Flin Flon Aqua Centre, a Parkway Blvd. garage and a van parked on Grandview St. In another incident, a new Compac laptop computer was stolen from a vehicle on Bay Ave. along with a battery and a battery charger. Meanwhile, vandals maliciously damaged a few road signs in Denare Beach over the weekend by running them over with a vehicle. Creighton RCMP Sgt. Kevin Weber said police have some suspects but are looking for additional information from the public. Police encourage anyone with information on the Flin Flon crimes, or any other unsolved crimes in the community, to contact them at 687-7488. Creighton RCMP ask the same and may be reached at 688-8888. Callers from either community may provide anonymous information by phoning Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
