Mayor Dennis Ballard and other familiar faces from around the community will share their poetic side tonight at the library. The library, Flin Flon Writers Guild, and Flin Flon Toastmasters are teaming up to host an evening of poetry tonight from 7-9 p.m. There is no admission fee and everyone is welcome to attend. "It's going to be a celebration of poetry," said Glenda Walker-Hobbs, one of the organizers. "It's amazing how many poets there are in the community." The evening will feature 23 guest readers sharing their poems a or the work of other poets. Guests will include the mayor, Brenda Schmidt, Anne Henry, Andy Stewart, and Sarah and Buz Trevor. Also present will be Dallas Bagby, Toastmaster District 64 Educational Lieutenant Governor. The evening will help residents celebrate National Poetry Month, designated each April.
