Canada Post is asking Flin Flonners to pick up their shovels and ensure snow and ice are removed from their walkways as soon as possible after a snowfall. "Letter carriers carry heavy loads of mail that can make it difficult to maneuver on snow and ice," reads a press release from the Crown corporation. "The cooperation of residents is very much appreciated by letter carriers so mail delivery can be carried out without delay." Canada Post is also asking motorists to exercise caution when driving past letter carriers who may be walking on roadways if the sidewalk is not cleared for pedestrian traffic. "Please drive slowly and carefully," reads the release. The Crown corporation issued the request to residents in Flin Flon, Thompson, Dauphin, Selkirk, Portage La Prairie, Brandon and Winnipeg Ð the Manitoba communities with home mail delivery.
