Residents can get one last use out of that outdated cell phone they have lying around the house. Elite Communications locations across the province, including the one in Flin Flon, are accepting cell phones for recycling. Money raised from the recycling program will go toward multiple sclerosis research and to help Manitobans living with the disease, which affects one out of every 1,000 North Americans. Cell phones of any age and condition will gladly be accepted. Proceeds will go to the Manitoba branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. A similar fundraiser held last year in the United States was a resounding success, netting up to $3 per cell phone.
