On Feb. 4 at about 8:30 p.m., RCMP as well as emergency services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal pedestrian-motor vehicle collision on PR 384, about one kilometre west of Moose Lake. Initial investigation indicated that a 2011 Ford pickup truck was west bound when it was in collision with a pedestrian. The driver of the pick-up-truck, a 54-year-old man from Moose Lake, was not injured. The pedestrian, a 19-year-old man from Easterville, Manitoba, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His name will not be released. An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst attended to assist with the investigation. Road conditions were reported to be extremely slippery at the time of the collision. There is no indication of speed or alcohol being involved in this collision. At this time, charges are not expected. Police continue to investigate. No further information is available at this time.
