Kelly Carrington Staff Writer Celebrating the 10th year for the Women of Honour luncheon in Flin Flon, past winners were recently acknowledged. Women of all ages with different backgrounds and specialties are honoured each year for their efforts in the community. Some are recognized because of the countless hours of volunteering, the dedication they bring to their job, or the selfless acts that make them who they are. The luncheon, held on International Women's Day, acknowledges those women as well as those in the community. Crystal Kolt was guest speaker at this year's event as she showcased events and activities put on by women in the community. Over the past 10 years, 32 women from the Flin Flon area have been recognized for their work in the community. This year, 14 past recipients were acknowledged: Shelley Craig, Professional (2005) Kay Einarson, Lifetime (2006) Debbie Hiebert, professional (2006) Ev Pico, Lifetime (2007) Meryl Guymer, Community (2008) Sheena Reed, Community (2009) Lily (Lil) Schuman, Lifetime (2009) Marilyn Reader, Neighbourhood (2010) Crystal Kolt, Professional (2011) Joan Thorley, Community (2011) Iris Bailey, Neighbourhood (2011) Catherine Hynes, Community (2012) Mary (Biz) Fullerton, Professional (2012) Anne Goodman, Neighbourhood (2012)
