The Flin Flon Bombers picked up three of a possible four points on last week’s road trip that concluded with a 6-5 overtime loss to the Melfort Mustangs on Thursday, Oct. 30.
Flin Flon captain Dean Allison scored the only goal of the first period. Erik Pedersen made it 2-0 early in the second. Alex Smith and Austin Calladine also scored for Flin Flon, who led 4-2 after 40 minutes.
The Bombers came out flat in the third as the Mustangs scored twice to tie the game before Kristian St. Onge gave Flin Flon some life with a goal at 16:38.
But Luc Lemire tied things up with just 41 seconds left and Riley Boomgaarden capped a Melfort comeback.
