Another piece of the community's mining history has found a home at the Flin Flon Station Museum. A crane recently lifted a vintage ore car, donated by HBMS, onto the rail tracks outside the museum. "It's part of the history of mining in Flin Flon," said the museum's Ron Dodds. "We were very lucky to obtain one of them." The 62-ton ore car, believed to be from the 1930s, joins a locomotive formerly used by HBMS on the set of tracks. Dodds noted that the museum hopes to eventually obtain a slag car and diesel unit to complete the historical track display.
