A long-lost film featuring a Denare Beach historian will highlight an open house at the village's Northern Gateway Museum. At the Discovery Day open house this Sunday, from 2-4 p.m., visitors will take in a viewing of The Pedlars. Released in 1965 by the Saskatchewan department of education, the film includes an interview with Harry Moody. Moody, who is now deceased, made important archaeological finds in the Denare Beach area. Everyone is welcome to attend the open house, which will include free hot dogs, drinks and events for the kids.
