The popular online trading post Ebay.com continues to feature a number of interesting Flin Flon-related items. Items up for grabs include a vintage Flin Flon pillow case, which features a colourful depiction of the Flinty statue high atop his cement perch. The unique collectable had yesterday garnered just one bid and will be sold to the highest bidder on Monday. Also for sale is a scenic bird's eye view photo of the community, which shows Third Avenue crossing over Ross Lake, apparently during the 1960s. A similar view appears on three postcards posted on the online auction block. A number of Flin Flon collectables have switched hands over the years thanks to Ebay. Items previously auctioned off include a 1967 souvenir coin featuring Flintabbatey Flonatin, a 1957 post card featuring a scenic shot of the rocky area near Sipple Hill, and a framed piece of abstract art entitled "Flin Flon" that appeared to have no other connection to the community of the same name. Also sold were game-worn Flin Flon Bomber jerseys and a souvenir spoon. By allowing people around the world to buy and sell virtually anything, Ebay has become one of the most popular sites on the world wide web.
