2003 October 3 Ð Provided all of the pieces fall into place, construction of a new three-storey, 38-unit seniors housing complex will begin next spring at the Rotary Court site. "At the moment, I'm very optimistic," said Nazir Ahmad, president of the Hosing Board, which is the Rotary Club committee overseeing the project. The $3 coins were the talk of the town over the weekend, having officially become currency on Friday. October 17 Ð Flin Flon high school students would lose up to a quarter of their programs if grades 10 to 12 are added to Creighton Community School. That's the word from Flin Flon Superintendent of Schools Blaine Veitch, who said the school division would have to trim its budget if it lost the approximately 130 Saskatchewan students who attend high school in Flin Flon. October 24 Ð A new Town Council was elected in Creighton yesterday. Former alderman Bruce Fidler became the new mayor of Creighton, through acclamation. The Council consists of Roland Beasse, Valery Dixon and Colleen Stallard, and new aldermen Don Aasen, Kevin Elliott and La Verne Hinzman.
