Flin Flon high school students may not get to see themselves on nationwide TV after all. A crew with The X, an after school program on CBC, recently taped footage of student interviews and activities at Hapnot Collegiate. But production problems, mainly surrounding scheduling, have left the fate of the segment up in the air. Shaun Benjamin, a researcher with The X, was uncertain whether the piece would make it to the air. If it does, it will likely be within the next two weeks, he said. Benjamin added that The X sometimes tapes more footage than can be aired. A crew with The X was at Hapnot on January 23 and 26. During their time in Flin Flon, they also taped a segment with the Nemihitowok Hoop Troop, a local group of hoop dancers. The X, which airs Monday to Thursday, includes segments from across Canada thanks to the Rollin' X, the name given to a van used by the show to travel cross-country.
