The latest Drive One 4UR School fundraiser generated nearly $8,000 for a school snack program and emergency relief efforts in fire-stricken Fort McMurray AB. For every test drive at Northland Ford last Saturday, May 7, Ford donated $20 to each of the Ruth Betts Community School snack program and Canadian Red Cross efforts in Fort McMurray. Ruth Betts also held a barbecue on site, while donations for the Red Cross were accepted. Ruth Betts received $3,460 from Ford and $453 from the barbecue, while the Red Cross accepted $3,460 from Ford and $520 in donations. Pictured at the barbecue (from left) are Courtney Lycan, community connector at Ruth Betts, Allison Wilson, general manager of Northland Ford, and Dilyn Johnson, a Ruth Betts student. Northland Ford’s Doug Gourlay said the dealership thanks the public for supporting both causes.
