Police are investigating after a 15-year-old boy allegedly stabbed a 14-year-old girl during an altercation in Norway House. On Tuesday, just after 1 p.m., Norway House RCMP were called to a report of the assault near the Helen Betty Osborne Ininiw Education and Resource Centre. Both the victim and the accused are students at the school. As a result of the incident, a youth has been arrested and taken into police custody. He has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and carrying a concealed weapon. The youth is remanded and will appear in Thompson Provincial Court on Monday. The victim was treated and released from hospital. The matter is still under investigation by police. _ RCMP 'D' Division
