Flinty's Boardwalk, the unique scenic path around Ross Lake enjoyed by residents and visitors alike, is up for a provincial tourism award. The Flin Flon and District Chamber of Commerce has nominated the boardwalk for Travel Manitoba's Tourism Community Partnership Award. The award will be given to an alliance of communities, organizations, and/or businesses that works together to increase tourism. The boardwalk previously received an Attractions Canada award, having been named one of the top tourist attractions in Manitoba in 2002. The chamber is also looking for nominees in the individual volunteer category. Anyone with ideas may phone the chamber office at 687-4518. Nominations must be submitted by Dec. 3, with winners to be honoured at a ceremony next spring. For more information, log onto www.travelmanitoba.com/tourismawards/
