Work continued this week to establish a detour road part way up (or part way down, depending on your perspective) Sipple Hill. The path, expected to take about another two weeks to complete, will connect the hill with an adjacent back alley along Foster Park. Motorists will need the alternate route when workers rebuild the much-maligned bottom of the steep hill this summer. A crew has had to remove a section of rock to make way for the detour, which will remain open and used in the future if required.
