Cranberry Portage RCMP detachment welcomed two new officers to the detachment in the last few weeks. The detachment is particularly glad to have the new additions after running short staffed off and on for the better part of a year. Cst. Chad Butler and his fiancee Hali originate from The Pas area. Churchill was their previous posting having spent three years in that community. Chad is already getting well known in the community after leading the parade and taking part in the flag raising ceremony in Cranberry Portage on Canada Day. Cst. Chris Haskins and his wife Andrea also came to Cranberry Portage in June. They spent the last three years in Norway House. Chris is originally from Alberta while Andrea hails from South Eastern Manitoba.7/13/2004
