Creighton Fire Chief Rob Larocque stands in front of his department’s recently arrived pumper truck. “It still smells new,” he said as he offered a tour of the vehicle. The truck boasts an 800-gallon water tank, four rear seats equipped with breathing apparatuses, and a Jaws of Life unit. With a price tag of $373,631, the 2015 vehicle replaces a past-its-prime 1985 model. The Creighton Fire Dept. boasts two pumper trucks and one rescue vehicle.
