Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 73 and its Ladies Auxiliary welcomed new executive committees.
At a formal ceremony in the lounge this past Sunday, Dec. 15, Bob Penner was installed to a one-year term as president of the Legion.
Serving as first vice-president and service officer is Andy Stewart. Second vice-president is Ron Baschuk.
John Mensch returns as the sergeant-at-arms. Past-president is Grant Adams.
The Legion’s executive committee consists of Lorne Morrison, Steve Baschuk, Terry Smith, Bernie Cluff, Isabel Stewart, Perry Burton, Lois (Bunny) Burke and Tom Morrison.
Serving as padres are Rev. Raymond Knight of the Anglican Parish of St. Peter and St. James, and Father Paul Bringleson of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church.
Meanwhile, the Legion Ladies Auxiliary welcomed back Margaret Senyk as president.
Bev Zollen is first vice-president and Lynn Gobeil is second vice-president. Alta Graham is past-president.
Filling the role of secretary is Ellen McFarlane. Ruth Rose is the treasurer.
Rounding out the auxiliary are executive members Karen Prokopetz, Joyce Vankoughnett and Denise Rose.
The auxiliary is still hoping to welcome more executive members.
