The new chief operating officer of Crowflight Minerals, operator of the Bucko Lake mine, is quite familiar with the Northern Manitoba mining sector. Stephen Davies has over 25 years of mining experience, having worked in senior operations positions with Alex MacIntyre and Associates, which employs mining contractors in Flin Flon and Thompson. He was appointed to his new position Tuesday by Crowflight, the Toronto-based junior miner that operates the Bucko Lake nickel mine near Wabowden, Manitoba. The mine recently resumed production after being temporarily shuttered so Crowflight could complete ramp development, accelerate mine development and upgrade its backfill plant.
