Two dozen more apartments for low-income aboriginals are on the way in Thompson. Keewatin Housing Association Inc. (KHAI) has been given the green light for its fourth and fifth multi-family units in the northern city. Thompson City Council approved a rezoning bylaw for two parcels of land _ Cambridge East and Cambridge West _ where the buildings will be erected. The newest units are expected to be some of the biggest built thus far by the KHAI; the plots of land on Cambridge East and Cambridge West are 23,100 sq. feet and 25,900 sq. feet, and are expected to house 24 units between the two buildings. The hope is to break ground on construction in May or June. KHAI describes its goal as being 'to provide affordable housing to aboriginal people within the City of Thompson who have low to moderate income levels.' _ With files from Matt Durnan, Thompson Citizen
