Accused Flin Flon murderer James Desmarais has been given more time to find a lawyer.
On Monday Desmarais had his case adjourned to Jan. 13, 2014, so he could complete appeal to legal aid for counsel to be appointed.
Desmarais, 46, has already been through four attorneys since his arrest more than two years ago. He fired his most recent court-appointed lawyer in the summer.
He has said he will plead not guilty to the second-degree murder charge against him. He also denies confessing to the RCMP, as police have asserted.
Desmarais has been held in custody since his Oct. 31, 2011 arrest in the death of fellow Flin Flonner Raylene Dawn Grant, 21.
He remains in custody in The Pas.
