Saskatchewan's official opposition is fighting a long-shot battle against what it calls the provincial government's unnecessary overhaul of workplace and employment laws. Across Saskat-chewan, the NDP has been hosting public gatherings _ known as Your Work, Your Say forums _ on the changes. The party said a group of workers, employers and community members in North Battleford last week largely agreed that raising Saskatchewan's lowest-in-Canada minimum wage and fixing rural health-care systems should be the government's focus. 'What we heard in North Battleford is that there are some challenges,' said David Forbes, NDP labour critic. 'The Sask Party government is ignoring common sense and turning a blind eye to the real challenges in favour of rewriting workplace laws, which are actually providing stability.' A report on the Your Work, Your Say forum discussions will be handed over to the Sask Party government in October, according to the NDP.
