The Reminder’s 2015 Christmas Greetings section has received national recognition.
The 20-page section was named best holiday edition (circulation of 3,999 or less) at last week’s Canadian Community Newspapers Association Better Newspapers Competition.
The section led with a piece on Creighton’s Joel Pardoski, one of Santa’s designated assistants. It also included an impressive range of Christmas stories and artwork by local students, along with heartwarming holiday greetings from area businesses.
Last month The Reminder was a five-time winner at the Saskatchewan Weekly Newspaper Association’s Better Newspapers Competition.
Our awards included best front page (for circulation class), best special section (all circulation classes), second in general excellence (for circulation class), second for First Nations coverage (all circulation classes) and third for tourism story of series of stories (all circulation classes).
