A trial date has been set for the man charged in a 2012 murder in downtown Flin Flon.
Mitchell Whitbread will go on trial Nov. 2-13, 2015, in the Court of Queen’s Bench in The Pas.
Whitbread, 26, has been charged with second-degree murder in the May 12, 2012 stabbing death of fellow Flin Flon resident John (Kelli) Eyres.
A preliminary inquiry held earlier this year determined there was sufficient evidence for the trial to proceed.
Whitbread’s attorney, Greg Brodsky, has said the charge against his client will be “vigourously defended.”
