MTS announced last week it launch iPhone 4 in Canada in the coming months. The company describes iPhone 4 as "the most innovative phone in the world, featuring Apple's stunning Retina display, the highest resolution display ever built into a phone and FaceTime, which makes video calling a reality." This follows recent word that faster wireless service and a new wireless provider will reach Flin Flon on March 31. Not only will MTS's new High Speed Packet Access (HSPA+) wireless network will launch that day, but Rogers Wireless will make its long-awaited entry into the Flin Flon market. The new HSPA+ technology is being added to existing MTS infrastructure through an arrangement between Rogers and MTS. New customers will be able to switch to Rogers and have access to the latest cutting-edge devices, including iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and tablets. Rogers already offers service in Winnipeg and southern Manitoba and is expanding into northern communities while, at the same time, upgrading its existing coverage in Manitoba to HSPA+. In addition to improved quality of voice coverage, the new network will provide Manitobans with mobile Internet service at download speeds of up to 21 megabits per second Ð the fastest speeds available in the province.
