Matt Damon became the new box office champ over the weekend when his thriller "The Bourne Supremacy" debuted in top spot at the U.S. box office with an estimated gross of $53.3 million. The sequel to 2002's "The Bourne Identity" bumped Will Smith's latest actioneer, "I, Robot", into second place with $22.1 million. Halle Berry's much-touted "Catwoman", based on the comic book heroine, opened in a disappointing third with $17.2 million. The blockbuster "Spider-Man 2" continued to bring in the crowds, finishing fourth with $15 million. The web-slinging sequel is already one of the most successful films of all-time with a total gross of $328 million. A modern take on a familiar tale, "A Cinderella Story", rounded out the top five with $8.04 million in its second weekend in theatres. Rounding out the top ten were "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy" ($7.1 million); "Fahrenheit 9/11" ($5 million); "The Notebook" ($4.45); "King Arthur" ($3.06); and "Shrek 2" ($2.4 million).
