No one was surprised to see "Shrek 2" take top spot at the box office over the weekend. The animated adventure enjoyed one of the biggest openings in history, raking in an estimated $104 million. Following in second and third place were "Troy" ($23.8 million) and "Van Helsing" ($10.1 million). Rounding out the top five were "Mean Girls" ($6.9 million) and "Man On Fire" ($3.5 million). Rounding out the top ten were "Breakin' All The Rules" ($2.8 million); "13 Going On 30" ($2.5 million); "New York Minute" ($1.19 million); "Kill Bill Vol. 2" ($1.07 million) and "Super Size Me" ($953,000). The figures do not include Monday's revenue. -J.N.
