Family members are desperately searching for a one-time Flin Flonner who has been missing for almost a decade. Bruce Berthelot, 44, is believed to have worked as a security guard at the Flin Flon General Hospital in the fall of 1980. He is also thought to have been a guard at one of the area mines. His cousin, Carol Franks of Kingston, Ont., said yesterday that Berthelot suffers from a mental illness and hasn't been seen by the family since 1996. Other than a security guard, Berthelot, an avid outdoorsman, has worked as a carpenter and bartender. Aside from Flin Flon, he also called Leaf Rapids and Churchill home at one time. Berthelot's mother has fallen ill, and Franks is desperate to reunite him with her before she passes on. Franks asks that anyone with information contact her at 613-545-0422. Collect calls will be accepted. She can also be reached via e-mail at [email protected]
