Jonathon Naylor Editor Divers on Monday recovered the body of a man from Schist Lake, a day after the ATV he was riding went into the water in Channing. Flin Flon RCMP say that on the previous day, Sunday, July 8 at about 10:15 p.m., they joined paramedics in responding to an ATV collision in the city subdivision. Their initial investigation indicated that a Yamaha Rhino ATV with two male occupants was being operated adjacent to the lake when it went into the water. One man, a 48-year-old from Flin Flon, was located at the scene with only minor injuries. Authorities searched the area but could not find the second rider, a 48-year-old man from Channing. The RCMP Underwater Recovery Team was called in and on Monday evening recovered the man's body from the lake. Police will not release his name. Investigation RCMP on Wednesday had no further information to provide as they continued their investigation. The tragedy comes less than two weeks after two people died after being ejected from a jet ski on Wekash Lake outside Creighton on June 27. In that incident, the victims were a 54-year-old man from Creighton area and a 46-year-old woman from B.C.
