Over the past month, Copper Reef Minerals has released three different sets of results for its Alberts Lake project near Snow Lake.

First, samples taken from north of the existing gold deposit showed silver results described by company CEO Stephen Masson as “encouraging.” Ten of the samples showed more than 33 grams per tonne of silver.

On Oct. 3, more samples from the Alberts Lake area showed high grade gold values, with eight samples showing between 5.66 grams per tonne and 48.11 grams per tonne of gold. Later, the company announced the discovery of three new ore veins south of the project – two veins showed signs of high grade gold and silver, according to a statement from the company. Samples from all three have been sent for laboratory testing.

“They’re encouraging because they’re so high-grade. The high silver value certainly adds value to the veins themselves. It bodes very well for the whole area that we’ve been looking at – we’ve found gold all the way from our most northern point all the way down,” said Masson.

Mapping and prospecting are continuing at the site.
