The Northern Neighbours Foundation needs your support.
The foundation started in 1994 based on a matching grant from the Thomas Sill Foundation.
The Thomas Sill Foundation has offered to do another matching grant with Northern Neighbours. They will provide one dollar for every two dollars we can raise. We need to raise $10,000 dollars to receive the matching funds.
Donations and gifts in the past to the foundation have included a rental house, a named gift to be used as a health care bursary and many gifts given in memory of loved ones who have passed away, to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions.
The foundation represents Flin Flon, Creighton, Denare Beach, Snow Lake, Cranberry Portage and Sherridon.
To date we have granted over $650,000 in these communities. We support charitable projects in the areas of heritage and environment, community services, education, recreation and sport, arts and culture, and youth and senior programs.
Groups that have received funds include Cranberry Heritage Museum, Vocational Training Centre, Queen’s Park, Snow Lake Resource Center, Junior Rifle Club, Army Cadets, Flin Flin Pentecostal Youth Dart Club, Camp Whitney, Flin Flon Public Library, FlinFlon Arts Council, Ski Club, SPCA, Environmental Council and Denare Beach Recreation.
These are just a few of the projects that have been supported by our foundation.
Northern Neighbours will provide a permanent source of funds to meet the community and regional needs now and in the future.
You can make a difference and be assured that continual and perpetual benefits will flow from your generosity. The Northern Neighbours Foundation is ideal for those wishing to make their gifts last forever.
You can make a donation by mail to: Box 802, Flin Flon, MB R8A 1N6 or at Northern Rainbows End at 55 Main St. Flin Flon.
