Many Faces Education Centre held their graduation ceremonies last night at the RH Channing auditorium. There were 40 graduates this year. The ceremonies began with the procession of grads coming in to the songs "Our Lives" and "Long as I can See the Light". After graduate Amanda Costello sang "Oh Canada", Many Faces Principal Jane Dupre performed one of her last duties as the principal of this fine school, (she will be taking the vice principal's position at Creighton Community School next year). Jane introduced the staff and then the graduates. Then the presentation of diplomas, transcripts, certificates and Bibles took place, with the winners as follows. The Honours Awards were presented to: Curly Arlein, Brian Booker, Lori Booker, Victoria Bouvier, Amanda Costello, Gerry Degelder, Russell Castel, Teresa Grindle, Linda Howe, Brittany Lyons, Dustin Lysohirka, Carolynne Masson, Scott Reeves and Kelly Highfield. The Governor General Bronze Medallion: Brittany Lyons. Flin Flon School Division Bursary of $750: Dustin Lysohirka. Brian King Bursary of $500: Blaine Veitch and Carolynne Masson. Charlie Mott Memorial Bursary of $500 each: Robert Peacock and Brittany Lyons. Keewatin Community College (one year tuition): Crystal Burns. Flin Flon Friendship Centre $500: Kelly Highfield. Many Faces $250: Tara Trudeau. Jodi Nicol Memorial Award $200: Shyla Asmus. Catholic Women's League $500: Amanda Willey. Oddfellow & Rebekah's $500: Amanda Costello. Kinette Club Bursary $500: Amanda Costello. Flin Flon Arts Council Bursary $750: Brittany Lyons. The valedictorian was Brittany Lyons and the guest speaker was a former teacher in Flin Flon and now residing in Winnipeg, Marie-Josee Morneau. Congratulations was given to the 14 students who will be graduating from Hapnot tomorrow, who took courses with Many Faces over the past year. The ceremonies concluded at the Unwinder with the evening social.
