The Reminder, along with multiple media sources, has called Tom Lindsey to win a second term in Manitoba legislature representing northwest Manitoba.

With 35 of 56 polls reporting results, Lindsey sits in a comfortable lead with 1,869 votes, ahead of Progressive Conservative (PC) candidate Wride’s 1,135 votes – a gulf of more than 700 votes.

Manitoba Liberal James Lindsay and Green Party candidate Saara Murnick sit well back in third and fourth place with 221 and 144 votes respectively.

Media outlets CBC and CTV have also called the riding as a victory for Lindsey.

The Canadian Press has not yet called Flin Flon's winner, but has called the other four northern ridings for the NDP, with Thompson going to Danielle Adams, Amanda Lathlin in place to win in The Pas-Kameesak and Ian Bushie well in front in Keewatinook. Each candidate is ahead of their nearest challenger by more than 600 votes.

Currently, CP is anticipating the PC party will win 35 seats, losing three from before the election. The NDP is anticipated to win 19 ridings, up from 12 pre-election. The Manitoba Liberals are likely to win three seats.
