A Snow Lake man is dead following a single vehicle rollover on Provincial Road 392 Oct. 24.

Between 7 and 8 p.m., RCMP members were notified of a single-vehicle collision about eight kilometres south of the community, between Snow Lake and Wekusko Falls Provincial Park.

According to RCMP, an investigation conducted at the scene showed the vehicle was heading southbound when it hit the shoulder, causing the driver to lose control and sending the vehicle into the ditch, where it rolled several times.

Two people, the 61-year-old driver and a 52-year-old male, were reported to be in the vehicle at the time of the wreck. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, a 52-year-old man also from Snow Lake, was sent to hospital with minor injuries. Police did not release the names of the two parties, including the deceased driver.

An RCMP forensic collision reconstructionist and Snow Lake RCMP are continuing an investigation into the crash.
