A 30-year-old Swan River man faces child pornography charges after police searched a residence last week. Swan River RCMP, with the assistance of the Manitoba RCMP Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) and the Manitoba RCMP Integrated Technological Crime Unit, executed a search warrant at the residence on May 2. The man was then arrested and has been charged with a number of offences, including unlawful possession of child pornography, distributing child pornography, sexual assault, uttering death threats and drug possession. He has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Dauphin Provincial Court today. His name will not be released. Police continue to investigate.
