RCMP have charged a man in The Pas with possessing, accessing and making available child pornography. Garry Welcome Morris, 56, was arrested last Thursday, June 14 following an investigation led by the Manitoba RCMP's Internet Child Exploitation Unit. Officers executed a search warrant at a residence in The Pas and seized a computer and related items. All three charges against Morris are related to electronic means over the Internet. RCMP had no evidence that the suspect was in direct physical contact with a child. sHe was remanded into custody to appear in The Pas Provincial Court on Monday. Police said their investigation continues. RCMP ask anyone with information regarding the online sexual exploitation of children to call their local law enforcement agencies or the tip line at www.cybertip.ca.
