A traffic accident on March 24 has left the city looking for a fix.
Around 2:30 pm, a semi collided with a light standard at the intersection of Main Street and Third Avenue, taking the pole down while making a right turn onto Third Avenue.
The post eventually fell onto a snow-covered portion of Pioneer Square. The semi, which was damaged, was parked on North Avenue after the collision.
Flin Flon RCMP said no injuries were reported in the collision and no charges were laid.
While the light standard is down, city crews will install temporary stop signs at the intersection and convert it into a four-way stop. There is no official timeline for the light to be back up and functioning, but city works manager Charles Boulet told The Reminder that the light standard should be back to normal by next week.
